AEV Gas Exhaust Turndown | 2023+ Ford Super Duty
When installing the AEV Rear Bumper on a gas-powered Ford Super Duty, the factory exhaust routing interferes with the bumper’s corner weldment. Simply cutting the factory tailpipe shorter may create clearance, but it can also leave hot exhaust gases directed toward the bumper’s corner tanks and nearby electrical components.
The AEV Turndown Exhaust Tip is purpose-built to solve both problems.
Designed specifically around the profile of the AEV Ford Super Duty Rear Bumper, the turndown provides the necessary exhaust clearance while redirecting hot exhaust gases downward and away from the bumper corner tanks and surrounding electrical systems.
Constructed from corrosion-resistant 304 stainless steel, its 3.5-inch diameter matches the factory exhaust size for a clean, integrated solution. Installation is straightforward: cut the factory exhaust at the specified location, slide the AEV Turndown Exhaust Tip into position, and secure it with the supplied clamp.
It may look like a simple exhaust tip, but its job is bigger than that. It’s another purpose-built component designed to make the complete AEV rear bumper system work as intended.
